Entrance Test

The eligible candidates shall be required to appear in an Entrance Test to be devised for the purpose where the candidates shall have to attempt sixty objective type questions (multiple choice item) questions carrying a total of sixty marks uniformly spread over the entire syllabus of the B.A. / B.Sc. three year degree course in the subject in which he / she desires to seek admission. The candidate shall be expected to mark exactly one of the four indicated choices as one closest to the correct answer of the given question. Further, considering that the entire exercise involving evaluation of the answer scripts is done electronically, the candidate are advised, in their own interest, to read the instructions carefully carried on at the first page of the answer script and to exercise extreme caution while marking the right choices as over-writing or mutilating portions of the response sheet may render the answer unfit for the evaluation.




There shall be provision for negative marking whereby for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks shall be deducted from the final tally of marks secured by the candidate. A specimen copy of the OMR sheet has been inserted in this prospectus, so that students can familarise themselves with the actual process of marking their responses. However, in case of admission to courses like L.L.B., PGDCA, MCA, M.Sc. Biochemistry, M.Sc. Environmental Science, M.Lib.Sc., M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.A. Mass Communication & Journalism, M.A. Social Work, M.A. Linguistics, M.Sc. Home Science and M.Sc. Statistics, the question paper shall be broadly based on the contents as prescribed/ indicated in Annexure II for the purpose.




The entrance test for B.Pharm and M.Pharm course shall be conducted sometime during the middle of 2010, for which a separate notification shall be issued at an appropriate.




In respect of M.B.A and M.F.C courses, the admission shall be conducted through National Level Test in the month of June,2010.




For admission to PG Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS , candidates shall be selected on the basis of merit obtained by them in their qualifying examinations.
