Registration 

Q.    Who can register?

A. Anyone who is an Indian citizen, residing in India, of 18 years or above as on March 5, 2019 and the citizen should be of sound health and mind can register for KBC Koshur / Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet. No person can participate on behalf of another person.

             

Q.    When will the lines be open for registration?

A. Registration lines (IVRS & App) are open from 00:00:00 hrs on March 16, 2019, when the first question goes on air, for all viewers. The schedule of on-air registration questions during this period will be as below:

Q.    What are the different modes of registration?

A. You can register by answering the on-air question by calling on the IVR number and by answering the question on the App

 

The operator wise registration details of the numbers to be dialled for IVR are listed below:

Q.    What number can I call to register my answer?

A. Subscribers of the below mentioned operators can place a missed call on 87488 87488. They will receive a call back on their number and they can then register through the IVR 

(Airtel, BSNL, Idea, Jio, MTNL, TATA DoCoMo, TATA Indicom and Vodafone in select circles)

             

Q.    What will it cost me to call and/or Register via the App?

A.     

IVR : No cost will be incurred as you will only place a missed call on the number and you will get a call-back

Sony Liv App: All registrations from the Sony Liv Application will be free of cost, however data charges may apply. For further details please contact your service provider

Q.    How to answer using the IVR?

A.    Please follow the below mentioned steps for participating via IVR:

1.       Registrant gives a missed call on 87488 87488. The Registrant will receive a call back within 5 minutes of the missed call. If Registrant is busy or not reachable then 2 more attempts will be made to call the Registrant within next 30 minutes.

2.       The IVR will welcome the Registrant and asked for preferred language option which is press 1 for Koshur  and 2 for English  the first time the registrant calls the number. From subsequent attempt onwards, the language will be set as default language as per Registrant’s selection in the first call. 

3.       The IVR will ask the CFE question of the day along with the 4 options – the Registrant will be asked to press 1/2/3/4 depending on his/her answer of choice. The IVR repeats the question again once if not understood. The Registrant is prompted once in case of incorrect input or no input. The IVR then plays a message for Registrant to confirm on answer input.

4.       If the submitted answer is wrong, the IVR will tell the Registrant that their answer is incorrect and they should try again for next question, and the call will get disconnected. An SMS will also be sent to the user informing about the same (if the user has participated using a mobile number)

5.       If the submitted answer is right then the Registrant will be will be asked to enter age in completed years as on  March 05, 2019 (for e.g. if a person is 25 years and 11 months old, they will have to enter 25)

6.       The Registrant will be asked to enter gender (1 for male, 2 for female, and 3 for others)

7.       The Registrant will be asked to provide their educational qualification (1 for graduate, 2 for nongraduate)

8.       The Registrant will be asked to enter the region where he/she lives (1 for Jammu, 2 for Kashmir valley, 3 for Ladakh, 4 for Rest of India) 

9.       The call will end with a thank you note / play back option.

10.   Thank you message will inform the Registrants if they are selected for the next stage, they will be contacted within fifteen (15) days from time of closure of lines. An SMS will also be sent to the user informing about the same (if the user has participated using a mobile number)

Q.    How to answer using the Sony Liv application?

A.    Please follow the below mentioned steps for participating via the Sony Liv app:

1.       Download the SonyLIV application from the application store. Please note, the application download is free of cost, however data charges may apply. For further details please contact your service provider. 

2.       Click on the Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet  banner/thumbnail on the SonyLIV app

3.       Please select your language – English or Koshur

4.       Question of the day is asked along with the 4 options – select and lock the answer option you think is correct

5.       If the answer is incorrect, a message will be displayed stating that the answer is wrong and you

should participate the next day

6.       If the answer is correct, then you will be asked to enter your Name, email ID and mobile number. Please note that we will be able to get in touch with you only if the mobile number you have input is registered with the service provider in India.

7.       Please select your age as per the applicable brackets i.e. 18-29, 30-49, 50+. Please note that only those Registrants will be considered for participation in the show who have completed 18 years of age as on March 05, 2019.

8.       Please choose your gender between Male, Female and Other

9.       Please choose your educational qualification (1 – graduate, 2 – not graduate)

10.   Please choose your region of residence (1 – Jammu, 2 – Kashmir valley, 3 – Ladakh, 4 – Rest of India)

11.   At the end, a confirmation message will be displayed stating that registration is complete and you will be contacted if selected

Q.    When will I know the result of the registration?

A. If the answer provided by you was both valid and correct and you were selected in the random shortlist you will receive a call from us in around fifteen (15) working days from the date of close of registration lines for that question.

             

Audition  

Q.    Where and when will the auditions be conducted?

A.    The auditions will be held at the following cities as per the defined schedule:

Please note that the dates are tentative and might change subsequently. Company has the right to alter/change the venue of the auditions at its sole discretion.

             

Q.    Can I choose my preferred city for audition?

A.    No.  You will not be able to choose location for auditions. A city chosen by Prasar Bharti Broadcasting

Corporation of India (“DD Kashir”) will be offered to all shortlisted Registrants. If the shortlisted

Registrant chooses to decline the same, he renounces further participation in Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet.

             

Q.    What if I am unable to make it for the auditions?

A. Inability to attend the auditions on the specified date, time and location will close and/or terminate further participation in Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet.

             

Q.    What will I be required to do at the auditions?

A.    Each auditionee will be made to go through two pre- defined audition rounds.

The first round will involve answering skill-based questions, the second round will be a video round where the auditionee will have to give a personal interview and the same will be recorded.

             

Q.    Will I have to bear all expenses in order to be present for the audition round?

A. Yes, all expenses directly or indirectly connected with being present for the auditions (travel, conveyance, lodging, stay, meals, etc.) will be borne by the auditionee.

             

Q.    How will I know the result of the audition round?

A. The Auditionees who are shortlisted on the basis of the audition round will get a call from DD Kashir through its producers informing them of selection in the Fastest Finger First round of the show.

             

Q. What documents will I require to carry for the auditions?

A. Proof of identity, age and address will be accepted in English or Koshur only.

1) 4 recent passport sized color photographs of the Auditionee 

2) For valid name proof (any one of the following): 

1.  PAN Card along with Birth certificate  

2.  Passport 

3.  Voter ID

4.  Driver’s License or

5.  UID / Aadhar card

6.  Govt ID card issued by the District Collector

3)      For Valid address proof (any one of the following):

1.  Landline Phone / Electricity Bill  

2.  Passport

3.  Voter ID

4)      2 recent passport sized color photographs each of four Phone A Friend Candidate(s). The Phone A Friend Candidate(s) must be above 18 years of age as on March 05, 2019, residing in India and of Indian nationality.

The Auditionee will need to carry the original document and 2 attested photocopies of each document.

Q.   What are the selection criteria?

A.    The main criteria for selection is your general knowledge and grasp over current affairs, which is     evaluated across various stages.  In addition, there is also an interview round and audition at the final stage where your personality and screen presence are also evaluated.

Q. How many times can I participate?

A. Each registrant can be shortlisted only once for an audition in one schedule of registrations. However, there is no restriction on the number of times a viewer can participate through registration (IVR call/ App). Only the first valid entry will be considered for each mobile number registered through each mode of entry for each call for entry question.

Q. Who wins the Prize Money?

A. The person who gets on the hot seat and gets all the questions right will win the prize money. The prize amount will be decided by the Company at its sole discretion and will be subject to tax as per government rules. 

Q. Some people claim that they can help get entry to Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet . Is it possible?

A. The only way to enter Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet / KBC Koshur is through participation in the registration process as described in the Rules and regulations governing Participation. There is no other way of entering Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet. This entire process is transparent and monitored by an independent Firm.  Any person claiming that he/she can help get you on the show for a consideration is defrauding you. Please contact your local police and report this person.  

Q. I got a call after answering the question, but no one has called me after that. Have I been selected?

A. The call you received was because you were among the shortlisted registrants selected by the computer. However, this does not mean that you have been selected. We will be contacting the successful candidates who have made it to the next round.
