(A) GENERAL GUIDELINES
(i) The application form is to be submitted ONLINE from 11/03/2019 up to 22/03/2019 through the Kashmir University Websites: www.kashmiruniversity.net & www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and deposit the fee Rs.500/- per Course out of which Rs.50/- chargeable as IT Fee through online Mode only (Non-refundable)
1) A copy of the auto generated submitted application form, complete in all respects, accompanied with the following documents, should be submitted in the office of the College Development Council up to 25/03/2019 (4.00 p.m)
(i) Matriculation Marks Certificate for Date of Birth;
(ii) Marks Card of class 12th Class (Higher Secondary Part II)
(ii) Category certificate (if any) Issued by the Competent Authority;
(iii) Permanent Residence Certificate / School last attended.

2) A desirous candidate can apply for more than one Programme/Course.

3) While filling the application form/s, the candidates are required to indicate the choice of the Private College/institution (Serial Wise) where they want to undergo the course.

4) The selectees failing to join the allotted college/s by or before the last fixed date shall forfeit the right to admission, and the resultant vacancies shall be filled on the basis of counseling.

5) The admission of the eligible candidates shall be on the basis of the marks obtained by him/her in the last qualifying examination (10+2) level.

6) The date of counseling based admission against available seats shall be notified separately.

7) Counseling based admission shall be done on the spot in order of merit. The Selected candidate shall be required to pay an amount of Rs. 6,000/- as a part payment of tuition fee payable to concerned private college wherein the candidate is selected for admission. However, the said fee shall be excluding the University fee/s which the candidates shall be required to pay through their respective Colleges
 The Counseling shall entitle the candidates to reselect the College of their choice.
 The University shall try to allot the candidate in the College of his choice. However, he/she cannot claim admission in particular college as a matter of right.
 The admission so made shall be notified in the press or through University official website for which the candidates should retain the record of their form No. by all means.
 The admission shall be made in the concerned Colleges strictly as per their approved intake.
 The fee structure reflected in the proceeding pages of the ONLINE Prospectus shall be subject to revision from time to time. Any notification to this effect shall be issued by the university.
 In their own interest, the concerned candidates should stay in contact with the office of the College Development Council, University website and the local dailies. They shall not be intimated separately in this regard.
 No candidate should approach directly to any private college for admission purpose except Dean College Development Council office.

(D) DURATION OF COURSES & ELIGIBILITY 
1. BBA:
(i) Duration of Course: Three Years
(ii) Eligibility: Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary part II) examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects from J&K Board of School Education or any other board/institution equivalent thereto, with 45% in case of Open Merit and 40% in case of reserved category at the 12th class, shall be eligible to apply.

2. BCA:
(i) Duration of Course: Three Years
(ii) Eligibility: Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary Part II) examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects from J&K Board of School Education or any other board/institution equivalent thereto, with 45% in case of Open Merit and 40% in case of reserved category at the 12th class, shall be eligible to apply.

3. B.Sc-IT:
(i) Duration of Course: Three Years
(ii) Eligibility: Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary Part II) examination with Science subject from J&K Board of School Education or any other board/institution equivalent thereto, with 45% in case of Open Merit and 40% in case of reserved category at the 12th class, shall be eligible to apply.

4. B.A. (Hons) Mass Communication & Multimedia Production:
(i) Duration of Course: Three Years
(ii) Eligibility: Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary Part II) examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects from J&K Board of School Education or any other board/institution equivalent thereto, with 45% in case of Open Merit and 40% in case of reserved category at the 12th class, shall be eligible to apply.

5. B.Com (General):
i. Duration of Course: Three Years
ii. Eligibility: Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir including Ladakh, having passed class 12th (Higher Secondary Part II) examination in General programme from J&K Board of School Education or any other board/institution equivalent thereto, with 45% in case of Open Merit and 40% in case of reserved category at the 12th class, shall be eligible to apply.


(E) Mode of selection   

The selection of the candidate for admission to the above programmes shall be on the basis of their marks in the last qualifying examination (Part -II). In case of two or more candidates have same marks in the aforesaid examination their merit shall be decided by their individual marks in the matriculation examination. While finalizing the admission list, the competent Authority shall take into consideration the following: 
(i) Location of the College in a particular District/Geographical zone; 
(ii) Choice of the candidate for the college in above district/Geographical Zone; 
(iii) Marks obtained by the candidate/s in 10+2; 
(iv) Intake capacity of the college; 
(v) State Subject certificate/School last attended/Actual Residence; 
(vi) Part Payment of the tuition fee to be deposited by the selected candidate on the date of counseling. 

FEE STRUCTURE OF THE COURSES 


(F) RESERVATION OF SEATS 

Sixty Seven percent (67%) of seats available in a Programme/Course of study, shall be filled up from Open merit category candidates. Remaining 33% of seats available in a Programme/Course shall be filled up from amongst the reserved categories in order of merit. Supernumerary seats shall be in addition to intake capacity of a programme. The breakup of seats for various reserved categories and the authorities competent to issue the required certificate in respect of the reserved categories are given in Tables 1 and 2 below
